At Sunrise Project France, we are proud of the transformative journey embarked upon through our “Mind over Monsters” initiative. As the training sessions wrap up, our commitment does not end. The true measure of our project’s success lies in its sustainability and the ongoing support we provide to our network of youth workers. Here’s how we plan to keep the momentum going and ensure that the benefits of this project are long-lasting and ever-evolving.

Building a Robust Support Network

Following extensive discussions with participants and feedback from our partners, we recognized the need for a robust support network that extends beyond the duration of the training. To this end, we are launching a dedicated online platform where youth workers can continue to exchange ideas, seek advice, and share their successes and challenges. This platform will serve as a virtual community, rich with resources, including webinars, toolkits, and a forum for ongoing dialogue.

Continuous Learning and Development

Education is a journey, not a destination. To support continuous learning, we will offer monthly workshops and seminars that address new challenges and developments in youth mental health. These sessions will be led by experts in the field and are designed to keep our youth workers at the forefront of the latest research and best practices.

Mentorship Programs

Recognizing the value of personalized support, we are introducing a mentorship program. Experienced professionals within our network will mentor newly trained youth workers, providing guidance and one-on-one support as they implement their learnings in their communities. This mentorship will not only enhance the confidence of new youth workers but will also foster a sense of solidarity and community within the field.

Local and Global Collaboration Initiatives

The power of collaboration cannot be overstated. We plan to facilitate collaborative projects that allow youth workers from different regions to partner on initiatives that tackle youth mental health. By sharing diverse perspectives and experiences, these collaborations will innovate new strategies and broaden the impact of their collective efforts.

Feedback Loops and Impact Assessment

To continuously improve and adapt our approach, we will implement regular feedback loops involving all stakeholders. Annual impact assessments will be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the training and support structures, ensuring that the project remains responsive to the needs of youth workers and their communities.

Future Funding and Sustainability Efforts

Securing the future of the “Mind over Monsters” project also means ensuring financial sustainability. We are actively seeking partnerships and funding opportunities that align with our mission. Our goal is to expand the reach of our project, not only geographically but also in depth, by developing specialized modules that address specific aspects of youth mental health.

A Vision for the Future

Our vision for the future is clear—create lasting change in the way mental health is addressed in youth populations across Europe. The “Mind over Monsters” project is just the beginning. We envision a world where every youth worker has the tools they need to effectively support the mental well-being of young people, inspired by our training and continued support.
